About tHe Founders

strongHER co-founders and twin sisters, Alicia and Daria Capone, realize they had a unique and fortunate experience growing up. Everywhere they went, they had an automatic friend. Companion. someone who was there to help the other through challenging times or stresses they faced in school, at home, in sports/extracurricular activities, etc., someone to keep them in check, to motivate them, to look up to.

Through their own life experiences, they learned and were taught self-confidence, stress-management and mindfulness skills, and would share these helpful tools with one another. Understanding that this sharing of information and support-system was a key component in navigating the stresses and pressures that come with growing up as a female, the Capone twins decided they would work to provide both a sense of community and self-empowerment tools to

young girls.

Their hope is to instill mental toughness and self-confidence in girls across the northeast to overcome challenges and manage stress associated with growing up today (academics, career, sports, social media, bullying, body image, etc.) so that they are able to live their most fulfilled lives.

StrongHER is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to empowering young women with the confidence and resiliency to achieve their self-defined goals, while managing stress and life’s inevitable obstacles.
