Our approach to wellness is one that encompasses a whole body approach working from the inside, out. There is a misconception that living a healthy lifestyle is “hard”. For many people, they picture “boring” healthy food, lots of time at the gym and overall, a major lifestyle change that seems too time consuming. Well, we are here to tell you your wellness is not all dependent upon hours at the gym or number of protein shakes made. While those two components are helpful in achieving a healthy lifestyle, what is important to consider is what you put in your body (HINT: it is not necessarily just food).


Each day, we consume foods that are bad for OUR health, negative things on social media, hear hurtful things from our friends or are having experiences causing anxiety. Part of our theory is that healthy food ingestion is an integral part of wellness BUT so are the other things we do not necessarily consider to be part of our daily “consumption”.

At Destination Wellness, we share tips and tricks about optimizing your health when it comes to food, living mindfully, meditation, balance and so much more. Bringing awareness to your daily consumption will help your physical, mental and emotional health and it starts TODAY.


On our account, we have shared a few tips as to how you can live mindfully. In my opinion, this is the most effective way to lessen anxiety and alleviate stress. It also has many other benefits like improving physical ailments, high blood pressure, sleep, focus, and specifically gastrointestinal issues. Today, we encourage you to take a mindful moment. Each day moving forward, take a mindful moment as part of your self care regimen.


A mindful moment could take place when your watering your plants, walking down the street, doing yoga and so much more! During a mindful moment, try to engage all of your senses. In that moment what do you hear? See? Feel? Taste? Smell?


Take a few minutes to discover your surroundings. This will distract and disengage us from the stress and anxiety. It also allows us to live in the present. As we had mentioned, we consume many things throughout our day. Consume something positive in this mindful moment. Consume fresh air, peace of mind or even the warm breeze flowing through your hair.
